Daytona Beach Neighborhoods, Locations and Daytona Beach Districts
(Daytona Beach, Florida - FL, USA)

Daytona Beach is essentially a simple city with only three distinct districts. The Central district is where some of Daytona Beach's most popular attractions can be found, while those looking to enjoy the miles of sandy coastline in Daytona Beach can do so in all three districts.

The Halifax River runs the entire length of Daytona Beach city, giving visitors the chance to travel up and down the river and see more sights than can be seen by road alone. Here are the main districts and neighborhoods in the Daytona Beach area.

Daytona Beach Locations and Districts: Central / Downtown District - Daytona Beach, Florida (FL), USA
The Daytona Beach downtown district is Daytona's chief historic district and is home to a range of visitor interests. Shops and restaurants in the area are plentiful and attractions include the Halifax Historical Museum, Riverfront Park and the Angell and Phelps Chocolate Factory. This area is also the main business center in Daytona Beach and is home to more than 650 businesses.

Daytona Beach Locations and Districts: Daytona Beach Shores District - Daytona Beach, Florida (FL), USA
Located south of the city, Daytona Beach Shores is a relatively new area, having only been established back in 1960. Stretching 5 1/2 miles / 9 km along the Atlantic coastline, this district is home to some of the city's best seafood restaurants.

Daytona Beach Locations and Districts: Northern District - Daytona Beach, Florida (FL), USA
The northern district of Daytona Beach meets with the southerly portion of the neighboring city of Ormond Beach and the distinction between the two areas is often vague. As far as the beach goes, this district has the quietest areas and those seeking relaxation in Daytona Beach, without the disturbances of vehicles, can be assured of peace and quiet in the northern region of Daytona Beach.
